HCA Skills Practice Only
This in-person skills lab lets caregivers practice and show their personal care skills in a supportive classroom. Held over two full days at our DSHS-approved testing site, the course builds confidence and skills through instructor guidance, live demonstrations, and supervised practice in preparation for the state skills exam.
The course covers the main caregiving skills used daily and required for Washington State HCA training. Students will practice tasks like handwashing, bathing, denture care, transfers and positioning, catheter care, range of motion, compression stockings, and shaving. Instructors give feedback and support throughout the class.
