As we settle into this new year, I want to share our official theme for 2026: “Audit Ready.” Every Visit. Every Note. Every Client File. Every Employee File. Every Time!
In homecare, audit readiness is not about preparing for an inspection — it is about how we operate every single day. It means our documentation is accurate, our care plans are followed, our communication is timely, and our compliance is consistent.
It means that if a state surveyor walked in at any moment, we would be confident in what they see. Being audit-ready protects our clients, our caregivers, and our agency. Strong documentation supports client safety, ensures proper reimbursement, and builds trust with families who depend on us.
This year, we will focus on strengthening our processes, reinforcing training, and holding ourselves to the highest standards. Audit readiness is not a one-time event — it is a culture. It is a mindset. And it starts with each of us.
